Sostenuta e nata dal desiderio della Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT di valorizzare la propria collezione e a cura di Artissima, Dove finiscono le tracce è una mostra diffusa in luoghi iconici della cultura torinese. Nella Corte Medievale di Palazzo Madama sarà esposta l'opera di Peter Friedel, Failed States, 2011.
The exhibition describes, through around 100 works, the fundamental role played by Turin in consolidating Art Nouveau – known in Italian as the stile Liberty or “Liberty style”. In the Savoyard capital, this “new art” revolutionised every aspect of life and society, defining an architectural and artistic experience that, by building on the trail blazed in Turin, would spread right across the world.

More than 350 objects – sculptures, mosaics, frescoes, tableware, seals and coins, extraordinary works in ceramic, enamel and silver, valuable gems and goldwork,important architectural fragments –tell the story of the structures, organisational systems, trade activity and rituals of a complex civilisation, at the same time revealing the Eastern Empire’s fine artisanship, cultural intersections, stylistic features and symbols across the centuries.
