Sovrani a tavola. Pranzi imbanditi nelle corti italiane at Venaria Reale

A large group of works from Palazzo Madama were loaned to the Venaria Reale for the exhibition "Sovereigns at the table. Lunches set in Italian courts" from 28 September 2023 to 28 January 2024.

The works on loan:

  • Two plates with the coat of arms of Cardinal Alessandro Farnese, majolica, inv. 3110/C-3111/C;
  • Plate with the coat of arms of Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy and Margaret of Valois, majolica, inv. 2845/C;
  • Parma, Royal Manufacture, Basin decorated with a trompe l'oeil motif, majolica, inv. 2985/C;
  • Meissen Manufactory, painting by Johann Gregorius Höroldt. Part of a tea and chocolate service with weapons of Vittorio Amedeo II of
  • Savoy, called Service of the King of Sardinia inv. 3052/C and 1971;
  • Naples, Royal Porcelain Factory, part of the "purple band" Service. Painted and gilded porcelain, inv. 1486/C;
